City of Bloomington Story on Chris Peterson and Black History Pop-up Museum
The Normandale Campus Store will have a Black History Pop-up Museum throughout the month of February for Black History Month.
You can visit the Black History Pop-up Museum Monday through Friday throughout the month of February. It is located in the back of the Campus Store.
“The pop-up museum provides a great opportunity to showcase Black history information and inventions that people don’t know about,” said Bookstore Manager Chris Peterson. “We use it as an education tool, and every year there are new additions from the museum that come from departments around campus and community connections. It is a great learning opportunity for our students and the entire campus community.”
There will also be weekly trivia, crossword and matching activities throughout the month. Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing their role in U.S. history.
